The Potter’s House Christian Fellowship is a Bible-based, Spirit-filled, nondenominational Christian church serving Reno, Nevada. Since 1988, our desire has been to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, build strong families, make disciples, and help people discover God’s purpose for their lives.
We are a family-oriented church with a passion for our community. Through biblical preaching, worship, prayer, discipleship, children’s and youth ministry, and outreach, we want to provide a place where people can know Jesus Christ and grow in their faith.

Meet Our Leadership
Senior Pastor Louis and Barb Oliver and Their Story
In 1984, destiny brought us to The Potter’s House Christian Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. At that time, my wife and I were professional poker players, spending our days chasing fame and fortune, but our lives were empty. Little did we know that we were about to be dealt the most winning hand of our lives.
As we sat in the church and listened to the powerful, uncompromised preaching of the Gospel, God began to deal with our hearts. That day, we played our last hand and went all in for Jesus Christ. We walked away from our former life of gambling and began a completely new life serving God.
I later had the opportunity to serve as a chaplain in the Las Vegas correctional system, ministering to men and women who desperately needed the hope found in Jesus Christ. But God had another chapter ahead for us.
In 1988, my wife and I came to Reno, Nevada, with a mission to pioneer a church that would bring hope to the hopeless and reach people with the Gospel. God moved powerfully, and what began as a small work grew into the congregation we are privileged to serve today.
Through the years, we have watched God change lives, restore families, raise disciples, and send people into ministry. It remains an honor and privilege to serve the people of Reno and to continue the vision that began when our mother church in Las Vegas gave us the opportunity to come here and preach the Gospel.

More About Our Fellowship Of Believers
The Potter’s House Christian Fellowship Church in Reno is a Full Gospel church and part of Christian Fellowship Churches Worldwide. Since our beginning in Reno in 1988, we have grown from meeting in a home into an established congregation with a church facility where people and families can worship, grow, and serve together.
We are more than a place to attend church. We are a fellowship of believers committed to helping people develop a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. Our pastors and ministry leaders are invested in helping people grow spiritually, discover God’s purpose for their lives, and become involved in serving others.
Our services include praise and worship followed by practical, Bible-based preaching that applies the Word of God to everyday life. We also provide nursery and children’s ministry and opportunities for people of all ages to become connected to the life and ministry of the church.
Reaching Reno and the World With the Gospel
The Potter’s House is committed to taking the Gospel beyond the four walls of our church. Jesus commanded His followers in Mark 16:15 to “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” We believe that mission begins here in Reno and extends throughout the world.
Through personal evangelism, community outreach, discipleship, church planting, and world missions, we are committed to reaching people with the message of Jesus Christ.
Through the ministry of our church, works have been planted both in the United States and internationally, including churches in Mahajanga, Madagascar, and Durango, Mexico. Our desire is not simply to build one congregation, but to make disciples who can take the Gospel to others.
We believe Jesus Christ still changes lives. Whether across the street or across the world, our mission remains the same: preach the Gospel, make disciples, and help others discover the hope and new life found in Jesus Christ.
